Interactions 2016

My work is a deliberate rejection of the most familiar form. I try to see the presence of shapes in an organic world.

In this particular body of work I have taken the liberty of loosely using the circular form as a view finder and pathway, to see only the essential and leaving behind the rest. These spaces comprise remnants of activities in the form of sounds, smells, thoughts and vibrations. Playing with these various elements in my paintings, has helped me find my own center.

Interactions is an exploration of this relationship between diverse intangible elements within spaces and their resulting dynamics.

This series was exhibited in a two person show, “Interactions” with ceramic artist Vishakha Swarup, at the Open Palm Court Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi India in January 2016
